Hailing from Deep South Louisiana, Sarah found her voice on paper at an early age. Her first experience of writing was in a small diary where she would often write about her daily experiences.  She discovered words that piqued her curiosity about the world around her; and, in finding these words, Sarah learned to craft stories that could entertain those around her.  Her first nods came from the Young Authors competition where her work garnered the attention of teachers and others. And so began her journey of dreaming to be an author and touch the hearts of people who needed a good story. 

In later years, Sarah often wrote humor in college English papers. She found certain words crafted the perfect meaning to bring joy of a boring subject. One word was “epiphany”—and she used it in reckless profusion to the amusement of her instructors. Her professors often looked forward to reading her essays, most often noting her astute word choices that brought deep meaning--and memorable papers. 

Later in her college career Sarah got the chance to study under best selling author, Bev Marshall. Learning how to perfect her craft, Sarah practiced what she was taught. Sarah took what she learned to heart and molded it into the unique style seen in her current works.

In the summer of 2008, Sarah was given the chance to study in Italy, where she felt an immediate connection. The Italian history, music, food, and cities brought her a warmth that could only be expressed in writings. Sarah often brings what she felt in Italy into the pages of her stories, giving those who long to travel a chance to do so without leaving the armchair. Although she may be American, her heart belongs to Italy.

Her debut novel Reviving Sunshine pays tribute to the Eternal City and the true desire of living in a foreign country.  But it also pays tribute to her roots and the culture she grew up in, from food to the music that every Southern girl loves. 

As she starts her journey as a new author, she wishes to also share her gifts and help teach the craft to hopeful writers.
